Guest Voices: Finding a Perfect Fit as Special Education Parent Liaison

Trish Gunshore joined HCPSS in 2017 to fill the newly created Special Education Parent Liaison position, which serves as the connection between the school district and parents of students with disabilities. Her 31-year career in special education includes roles as a teacher, compliance specialist and special education coordinator, and experience in instruction, curriculum writing, process and procedure development, staff development, program creation and evaluation, and budget and staffing allocations.
