Outdoor Lunches in Cold Weather

November 23rd, 2021

Outdoor lunch will continue to be an option for any student who wishes to do so, as the weather allows. Parents/guardians of children who wish to eat outside should encourage their child(ren) to dress appropriately for the temperatures, including wearing a coat, hat and/or gloves each day. Parents or guardians may change their preference of eating location at any time by emailing their administrator.

Mt. Hebron HS, Rotary Partnership Transforms MHHS Courtyard into Monarch Habitat

Mt. Hebron High School and the Ellicott City Rotary Club have teamed up to create a pollinator garden in one of the MHHS courtyards. The goal of the garden is to provide a habitat for monarch butterflies, whose population has been in decline.

School Psychologists: Supporting Student Success through Consultation, Counseling, and Assessment

HCPSS school psychologists play a critical role in supporting student success. They do so in a variety of ways , including consulting with staff about learning and behavior problems and helping to identify and implement strategies to address them; providing counseling services to help students address a particular issue and/or develop a particular skill; and administering formal examinations to determine a student’s skill level or aptitude in a given area.
