The Howard County Public School System’s Strategic Call to Action: Learning and Leading with Equity serves as the foundation for all HCPSS decisions and places students at the heart of all practices. Grounded in its focus on equity, the SCTA outlines a commitment to closing opportunity gaps and supporting the needs of students.

The SCTA is organized under three overarching goals that emphasize student-centered practices, inclusive relationships, and responsive and efficient operations and identifies 15 desired outcomes supporting the goals.

Now that the fourth full school year of work guided by the Strategic Call To Action has come to an end, there is an opportunity to engage with stakeholders on the desired outcomes of the SCTA. As such, HCPSS has opened an SCTA survey on the 15 desired outcomes, available through 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021.
