Superintendent to Present the State of the Schools, January 16, 2020

On Thursday, January 16, Superintendent Michael J. Martirano will present the State of the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) at an event hosted by Bright Minds Foundation, which supports HCPSS students and schools. Martirano will provide an overview of school system progress and challenges, and share his priorities.
Mount View Middle School Recognized as 2019-2020 Maryland Blue Ribbon School

The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) has named Mount View Middle School as one of only six State Blue Ribbon award winners for 2019-20. The Blue Ribbon Schools Program is a state and national program that recognizes and honors schools that exhibit high performance and/or significant improvement in academic achievement as measured by Maryland assessments.
HCPSS Students Outpace State Peers on SAT and ACT

HCPSS Sweeps Top TEEAM Awards at High School Level

Howard County staff recently earned the two top awards at the high school level from the Technology & Engineering Educators Association of Maryland (TEEAM). Mt. Hebron High School’s Project Lead the Way engineering academy was named as the program of excellence and Glenelg High School’s Project Lead the Way teacher Raymond Gerstner as the teacher of excellence.
HCPSS Seeks Citizen Member for Policy 8090 Non-School-Hour Curricular Programs
