Harper’s Choice Students Become Farm Hands for a Day

Last month, six students from Harper’s Choice Middle School were given the opportunity to participate in Howard County’s Student Day on a Farm, as part of the annual Farm-City Celebration. This year, the students visited Sharp’s at Waterford Farm, a family-operated farm in Howard County.
WATCH D.O.G.S. Getting Dads Involved at Thomas Viaduct MS

At Thomas Viaduct Middle School, WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) are taking at least one full day off work during the school year and spending that entire day volunteering at the school as crossing guards, car/bus rider facilitators, hallway monitors, library assistants, lunchroom helpers, classroom and homework tutors and playground/gymnasium coaches. The possibilities are endless.
HCPSS Students Lead the Way for New Legislation

Following the work of HCPSS students, legislation was signed on October 10, 2018 to ban coal tar sealants in Howard County. The students began their activism at Centennial Lane Elementary School and continued it on at Burleigh Manor Middle School.
