Students’ T-shirts Support Ellicott City Flooding Relief

Howard County is Maryland’s Only School System Named to AP District Honor Roll

The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) is Maryland’s only school system on the 7th Annual AP District Honor Roll, and one of 433 school districts in the U.S. and Canada being honored by the College Board. To be included on the 7th Annual Honor Roll, HCPSS had to increase the number of students participating in AP while also increasing or maintaining the percentage of students earning Advanced Placement (AP) Exam scores of 3 or higher since 2014. Reaching these goals shows that a district is successfully identifying motivated, academically prepared students who are ready for AP courses.
Board of Education Considers 2017-2018 Academic Calendar Proposal

Manor Woods Elementary School Named 2016–2017 Maryland Blue Ribbon School

Manor Woods Elementary School is a 2016–2017 Maryland Blue Ribbon School. Today, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) named Manor Woods Elementary School as one of only six Maryland public schools to receive the State’s Blue Ribbon award this year.
