The Howard County Board of Education will hold the first of two planned Public Hearings on Attendance Area Adjustment at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017. The session will take place in the auditorium at River Hill High School, 12101 Clarksville Pike in Clarksville.

Glenwood Middle School Assistant Principal Wins State Award

Glenwood Middle School Assistant Principal Debra O’Byrne has been named the 2018 Maryland Assistant Principal of the Year by the Maryland Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP). Interim Superintendent Michael J. Martirano and MASSP Executive Director Scott Pfeifer surprised O’Byrne with the announcement at her school on Thursday, October 5.

Manor Woods Elementary School Named 2017 National Blue Ribbon School

Manor Woods Elementary School was named a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. The school is one of only six Maryland public schools to receive the nation’s Blue Ribbon award this year.
