HCPSS BOE Approves $2 Million Grant to Advance Literacy, Birth-Grade 12

The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) Board of Education approved a $2 million Striving Readers’ Comprehensive Literacy Grant at its regular meeting last week.
PARCC Spring 2018 Results Available

Students who participated in the PARCC assessments for grades 3–8, English 10, Algebra I, and Algebra II in the 2017–2018 school year will receive paper home reports during the second week of school. The reports will be distributed to your child at school to bring home.
Guilford Elementary Earns Green Flag Award for Environmental Achievement

The National Wildlife Federation Eco-Schools USA program has awarded Guilford Elementary School its highest honor, the Green Flag, for the school’s exceptional achievement in maintaining “green” building and grounds practices, conserving natural resources, and integrating environmental education into the curriculum. Guilford Elementary is the sixth school in Maryland and the 108th nationally to receive the award.
Burleigh Manor Teacher Receives 2018 Highest National Science Teaching Award
