HCPSS Recognizes Police Lieutenant Upon Retirement

HCPSS Superintendent Michael J. Martirano recognized Lieutenant Paul Yodzis, who is retiring from the Howard County Police Department.

At the July 11 Board of Education meeting, HCPSS Superintendent Michael J. Martirano recognized Lieutenant Paul Yodzis, who is retiring after 31 years of service to the Howard County Police Department.

Lieutenant Yodzis was nominated to be honored by an HCPSS school administrator for the impact he has made as a public safety leader in Howard County schools. While leading the Youth Division, he helped create active shooter training for officers in the schools, and was instrumental in implementing Teen Court, a program that empowers teens to participate in juvenile misdemeanor cases.
