HCPSS2019 Principal and Teacher of the Year Winners and Nominees Celebrated

The winners and nominees of the 2019 Principal and Teacher of the Year awards were honored at the May 9 Board of Education Meeting, following a reception sponsored in part by the HCEA and HCAA.
The Principal of the Year Award recognizes principals who go beyond the day-to-day demands of their position to create an exceptional educational environment. The Teacher of the Year Award celebrates excellence in teaching, creative and quality instruction, and a substantial contribution to the improvement of education. This year, HCPSS selected two Teachers of the Year, one competing for the Washington Post title and the other at the state level.
