Mount View Middle School Band Selected for 2019 National Convention

The Mount View Middle School Symphonic Band has been selected to perform at the 2019 National Association for Music Education (NAfME) Eastern Division Conference in Pittsburgh. The theme of this year’s conference, “Innovation, Access, and Insights,” aims to highlight the importance of a good music education for everyone and demonstrate the positive impact of music education on these students.

Only a few of the more than 170 applications submitted nationwide were chosen to participate in the conference. Jonathan Sindler, the band director, said, “This is a testament to not only the hard work and dedication put forth by every student, both in class as well as going above and beyond outside of school, but also to the tremendous support by the Mount View administration, staff, parents, community and school system.”

The performance will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2019.
