Howard County Mock Trial Team Advances to State Championship

The Centennial High School Mock Trial Team has advanced to the regional round of the Maryland Mock Trial competition. The team is one of only eight remaining contenders vying for the state Mock Trial championship.

HCPSS Students Named 2017 Carson Scholars

Twenty-six HCPSS students in Grades 4–11, who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and humanitarianism, were named Mid-Atlantic Carson Scholars. The scholars will be recognized at the 21st annual Carson Scholars Fund awards ceremony on Sunday, April 30, at Martins West in Baltimore.

“24” Math Challenge Tournament to be Held at Hollifield Station Elementary School

Students from nine elementary schools will participate in the Howard County Public School System’s first 24 Math Challenge Tournament on Friday, March 24, from 7–8:30 p.m. at Hollifield Station Elementary School in Ellicott City. Approximately 36 students in Grades 4 and 5, representing the top winners from each of the participating schools, will compete.
