HCPSS Updates Board of Education Meeting Announcement Process

Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) will update its process for notifying the community of upcoming Board of Education meetings, effective July 1, 2018.

The Howard County Board of Education quarterly meeting with the County Council, previously scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, has been canceled.

Board of Education to Hold Regular Meeting, July 12, 2018

The Howard County Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, July 12, at 4 p.m., with an evening session beginning at 7:30 p.m. Both sessions will be held in the Boardroom at the Department of Education, 10910 Clarksville Pike in Ellicott City.

Howard County Students Excel at 2018 National History Day

Two Howard County students won awards at the 2018 National History Day Competition held at the University of Maryland in College Park on June 14. The winning students competed against hundreds of students from school systems across the country.

HCPSS Schools Excel at 2018 U.S. Academic Bee and Bowl

A student team from Centennial Lane Elementary School was named the national U.S. Academic Bee and Bowl champions and a Burleigh Manor Middle School student was named National Science Bee champion at the U.S. Academic Bowl, and other HCPSS teams placed nationally.

Board of Education to Meet in Closed Session, June 14
