The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) invites students, families, staff and community members to participate in a community conversation about student personal technology use in school on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Reservoir High School, 11550 Scaggsville Road, Fulton.

The event will follow a process used in many HCPSS classrooms to deliberate on controversial topics. HCPSS curricular staff will guide participants to engage in a structured dialog in small groups and consider multiple perspectives about students accessing personal technology at school.

To participate, please register online. Registration will close once the event capacity of 150 people has been reached.

Stakeholders may also provide feedback to the school system on the use of personal devices in school by students through an online survey until Sept. 20. Additional information on student personal technology use in schools may be found online.
