ReEmerge Partners with CTE Teachers to Prepare Students for the Workplace

The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) has partnered with ReEmerge, LLC to collaborate on workforce initiatives that prepare students to be ready to enter the workplace. The partnership was formalized with an official partnership signing on Monday, November 18 at the Sheraton Columbia Waterside Restaurant in Columbia, Maryland.

Under the terms of the agreement, ReEmerge representatives will provide professional development for HCPSS Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers to support student instruction on career exploration, resume development and interview preparation. ReEmerge will serve as a resource for school-based junior interviews and the annual Passport to the Future student interviews.

HCPSS Director of Program Innovation and Student Well-Being Lisa Davis, Coordinator Career and Technical Education Sharon Kramer, and Career and Technical Education Resource Teacher Stephanie Discepolo joined ReEmerge Managing Partner Barbara Martin and Business Partners Deb Tayman, Therese Werner and Rick Wilson to sign the formal agreement at the November 18 event.

ReEmerge is a full-service career consulting and workforce development firm providing personalized coaching, skills lift, resume services and interview readiness to those getting back to work after a career break.

The Howard County Public School System’s Partnerships Office has united schools with more than 1,000 businesses and community organizations to enhance the educational experience of Howard County students. Partnerships benefit schools, businesses and the entire community by leveraging the resources of all participants. Partners may commit human or financial resources or other support.
