HCPSS Seeks Additional Members for Science Advisory Committee By December 13, 2019

November 13th, 2019

Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) is currently seeking Howard County residents with a background in the physical sciences or engineering to participate on the Science Advisory Committee.

Committee members share their expertise and exchange ideas to improve the instructional program for all students and provide guidance and assistance for science-related programs such as the Science Olympiad, Watershed Report Card, and Our Environment in Our Hands. Members also advocate for science programs, initiatives, partnerships and funding in a variety of venues.

The Science Advisory Committee supports the HCPSS Strategic Call to Action by helping to ensure all students have access to high quality science education and acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to become scientifically literate.

Members serve a one year, renewable term. The committee meets monthly during the school year, from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the HCPSS Department of Education.

Interested candidates should submit an online application by Friday, December 13, 2019.
