Mt. Hebron Economics Students Triumph at International Economics Olympiad in Russia

Aditya Krishna and Wyatt Currie hold their awards from the International Economics Olympiad (IEO).

Mt. Hebron High School’s national champion Economics Challenge team had a string of victories at the International Economics Olympiad (IEO) in St. Petersburg, Russia this summer. Senior Aditya Krishna won a Gold Medal for his overall performance, while senior Wyatt Currie won both Best in Economics and an overall Bronze Medal.

The IEO is the world championship in academic economics for high school students who have won their respective country’s national economics championships. More than 30 teams from 26 countries competed in the nine-day competition by participating in a finance simulation, taking two economics exams and presenting a professionally-developed business case.
