2nd Annual State of Early Childhood in Howard County, May 1, 2019

This free event is an opportunity to connect with engaged stakeholders and learn about current and new initiatives that support early childhood development and school readiness efforts. This year’s theme, “All Early Moments Matter,” will focus on the importance of building strong social emotional foundations in young children.

Guest speakers include HCPSS Superintendent Dr. Michael Martirano and Howard County Executive Dr. Calvin Ball. The featured presentation, by Frank Kros of the Upside Down Organization, will highlight brain development in young children and ways that the community can support early childhood initiatives.

The event is hosted by the Howard County Early Childhood Advisory Council as part of the Launch into Learning initiative, with the Howard County Public School System and Howard County Office of Children and Families.
