HCPSS Elementary Social Studies Deemed a Program of Excellence

HCPSS Elementary Social Studies, with Coordinator Kimberly Eggborn at its helm, recently was recognized as a Social Studies Program of Excellence by the Middle States Council for Social Studies. The Social Studies Program of Excellence Certificate recognizes programs that explore emerging ideas and investigate various points of view.

At the March 14 Board of Education meeting, Eggborn was applauded for her work on bringing innovative programming, such as the Simulated Congressional Hearings and Unheard Perspectives, to Howard County public schools.
