HCPSS Seeks Citizen Members for Academic Calendar Planning Committee, Deadline June 2

The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) invites citizens to take an active role in developing the 2018–2019 Academic Calendar as part of the Academic Calendar Planning Committee.

Members of this committee will attend eight meetings from June to August to discuss and make recommendations to the interim superintendent regarding the HCPSS academic calendar for the 2018–2019 school year. Committee meetings will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7–9 p.m. in Boardroom B at the Department of Education, 10910 Clarksville Pike in Ellicott City. The meetings will be held June 14, June 21, June 28, July 26, August 2, August 9, August 16 and August 30, 2017. Participants are expected to attend and participate in all committee meetings.

The knowledge, experience and perspective shared by community stakeholders are used to improve the calendar and ensure transparency at every stage of the calendar development process.

Citizens interested in participating on the 2018–2019 Academic Calendar Planning Committee may submit a statement of interest online, complete this form and email to CalendarCommittee@hcpss.org, or send a printed copy to HCPSS Calendar Committee, Executive Services Office, 10910 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City, Maryland 21042. The deadline for submissions is Friday, June 2.
