Josephine B. Scheffenacker Education Trust Partners with Thomas Viaduct Middle School

December 9th, 2015

Thomas Viaduct Middle School is partnering with the Josephine B. Scheffenacker Education Trust to support educational projects that connect learning to the real world. The partnership was formalized with an official partnership signing on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Sheraton Columbia Waterside Restaurant in Columbia, Maryland.

Through the partnership, Josephine B. Scheffenacker Education Trust representatives will collaborate with TVMS staff to identify school initiatives and programs in need of financial support and will participate in school events and programs focused on college and career readiness. In line with the HCPSS strategic plan, Vision 2018, this partnership enriches the school environment through volunteering and provides opportunities for students to build upon their strengths.

Howard County Board of Education Member Sandra French and Thomas Viaduct Middle School Principal Shiney John joined Josephine B. Scheffenacker Education Trust President David Scheffenacker to sign the formal partnership agreement at the December 10 event.
