Survey for Naming of High School #13

The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) is now accepting public suggestions of names for High School #13, scheduled to open for the 2023-24 school year.

Howard County Board of Education Policy 6050 – Naming and Renaming Schools requires that all schools be named for geographic terms related to areas of the county served. Policy 6050 also does not allow for schools to be named for specific individuals.

Students, staff and family members are encouraged to submit their name suggestions using the online form. All suggestions must be provided through the online form by Friday, October 14 at 5:00 p.m. to be considered.

All names will be reviewed and considered by a committee of HCPSS stakeholders and a list of recommendations will be presented to the Board of Education for selection at a future date.
