HCPSS Seeks Members for Mathematics Academic Advisory Committee, Apply by August 19, 2021

The Howard County Public School System is currently seeking Howard County parents/guardians, community members, high school students, and staff interested in joining the Mathematics Academic Advisory Committee. 


Advisory committee members share their expertise and exchange ideas to promote continuous improvement of the instructional program for all students and provide guidance and advocacy for the mathematics-related programs.

The Mathematics Advisory Committee supports the HCPSS Strategic Call to Action by helping to ensure all students have access to high quality mathematics education and acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to apply mathematics skills in daily life.

Members serve a two year, renewable term. The committee will meet virtually at 3:30 p.m. on the following dates during the 2021-2022 school year:

• September 30, 2021 

• December 9, 2021

• January 27, 2022

• April 21, 2022

• June 9, 2022


Stakeholders interested in participating should submit a statement of interest online by August 19, 2021. A confirmation email with additional details will be sent to the individuals selected to participate on the committee.
