Situation at Oakland Mills schools, October 26, 2018

The morning of Friday, October 26, 2018, an unverified phone call came in to the Howard County 911 call center regarding an active shooter at Oakland Mills middle and high schools. A sizable police team responded and determined there was no active shooter. All students and staff at both schools are safe and the school day will continue as scheduled.

Additional counseling supports are available for any students or staff who request it.

The safety of our students, staff and community is our highest priority and we will always take every precaution to ensure it.
