Students in the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) continue to excel in performance on the SAT. For the third consecutive year, the average score for the county exceeded 1650, which is the HCPSS college readiness benchmark.

Laurel Woods Elementary School teacher Stephanie Geddie this morning was named one of seven finalists for the Maryland State Department of Education 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year. The state winner will be announced at an awards gala Oct. 9.
