Manor Woods Elementary School Named 2016–2017 Maryland Blue Ribbon School
Manor Woods Elementary School is a 2016–2017 Maryland Blue Ribbon School. Today, the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) named Manor Woods Elementary School as one of only six Maryland public schools to receive the State’s Blue Ribbon award this year.

Wilde Lake Middle School Ribbon Cutting/Open House, Jan. 8

HCPSS Partnership with Columbia Association to Promote Global Competence
The Howard County Public School System is partnering with the Columbia Association (CA) International Exchange and Multicultural Programs Office to foster international understanding and develop global competence among students and staff. The partnership will be formalized with an official signing on Wednesday, November 30, at the Sheraton Columbia Waterside Restaurant in Columbia, Maryland.

Howard County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Renee A. Foose received the 2016 National Network for Early Language Learners Award for Outstanding Support of Early Language Learning.
Board of Education Considers School Start and Dismissal Time Adjustment Proposals
