HCPSS Recognizes Music Educators of the Year

2026 Music Educators of the Year being recognized by the Board of Education.

Howard County Public School System’s (HCPSS’) Office of Music, in collaboration with Howard County Parents for School Music, in June presented its 2026 Music Educators of the Year Award to Jason Heaton (Oakland Mills High School) and Jonathan Sindler (Mount View Middle School). The award is given annually to a juried music teacher, recommended and endorsed by their school administration, students, and community.
