Cecilia Ituarte Gonzalez, Hispanic Achievement Liaison at Murray Hill Middle School, has been named Howard County Public School System’s (HCPSS’) Student Access and Achievement (SAA) Liaison of the Year. The award honors an SAA Liaison who demonstrates exceptional leadership and a profound impact on their school community.
“It is unique to find an individual as dedicated, compassionate, and proactive as Cecilia,” says MHMS Principal Dr. Tammy Jones. “Her contributions have significantly enriched the lives of our students, strengthened our school community, and enhanced the overall educational experience for all. It is my great honor to nominate her for this well-deserved recognition, as she truly embodies the spirit of servanthood and an unwavering commitment to student success.”
Paola Loarca and Minerva “Minni” Contreras, Hispanic Achievement Liaisons at Forest Ridge Elementary School and Thomas Viaduct Middle School, respectively, were also recognized.
“Paola and Minni consistently go above and beyond in their work, day after day. Our SAA team as well as their school staff, families, and students are deeply grateful for their dedication and hard work. Keep up the great work you do!,” says Hispanic Achievement Program Supervisor Gastón Gámez.
