2nd Grade Art Showcase Reception – Feb. 18, 2026

The public is invited to attend the 2026 2nd Grade Art Showcase Reception, Wednesday, Feb. 18 from 5-6:00 p.m. at the Howard County Department of Education (10910 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City).

The works on display reflect deep explorations of identity, environmental stewardship, and global perspectives, encouraging empathy and expanded worldviews. The exhibit also includes student reflections, which make “invisible thinking visible” and speak to risk-taking involved in the creative journey.

Please note the reception is the only opportunity for the public to view the exhibition. Visitors are not otherwise granted access to the Department of Education building. All showcase attendees must enter through the front door and sign in at the security desk. Please bring a photo I.D.
