March2Future Planning for After High School Webinar Series

March2Future is a post-secondary webinar series provided to HCPSS students and families to assist them in preparing for life after high school. The series runs on select Wednesday evenings and covers a wide range of topics.

Wednesday, Feb. 5, 7 p.m.: Standardized Testing
Are you confused about standardized testing and how it fits with the shifting college admissions landscape? The Answer Class will help answer all your questions about how these important tests impact your child’s college application. This session includes 1) what test optional means and how students can use it to their advantage for college admissions and scholarships; 2) similarities and differences between the SAT & ACT; 3) explanation & updates on the new Digital SAT; and 4) ways to help your student decide which test better matches their strengths.
Registration is required.

Wednesday, Feb. 19, 7 p.m.: Howard Community College
Howard Community College offers 2-year degree programs, certificate programs, apprenticeships, continuing education and more. We have a packed agenda for this evening with representatives from all parts of HCC including academic programs, financial aid, career services, advising, clubs and organizations and more!
Registration is required.

Wednesday, March 5, 6-8 p.m.: Military Information Night
Note: This event will be held in person at Howard High School.
HCPSS students in grades 7-12 and their families are invited to learn about opportunities available in the military, including job opportunities, educational and career pathways, strengths of each branch, the GI bill, career benefits, and ROTC opportunities. Representatives from all branches of the U.S. armed forces will be in attendance, as will representatives from Military Academies and ROTC programs.
