Middle School Art Showcase Through Jan. 21, 2025

Members of the public are invited to see the Middle School Studio Art B Showcase, featuring artwork by 8th grade students from all HCPSS middle schools. The artwork is on display through Jan. 21 in the main hallway of the Howard County Department of Education, 10910 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City. Showcase hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

This year’s showcase features a variety of artworks illustrating the depth of the students’ exploration and growth, including:

• Paintings, drawings, sculptures, and mixed media pieces
• Works that illustrate personal voice and craftsmanship
• Projects that demonstrate risk-taking, experimentation, and thoughtful reflection

“We hope you will join us in celebrating the achievements of our Middle School Art B students and their commitment to artistic excellence,” says Gino Molfino, HCPSS’ Coordinator of Fine Arts. “Your support and encouragement mean so much to our young artists and inspire their continued growth and creativity.”

All showcase attendees must enter through the front door and sign in at the security desk. Please bring a photo I.D. Please note that the Department of Education building will be closed for visitors Dec. 23-Jan. 1, and Jan. 20.
