HCPSSSuperintendent Transportation Update: Additional Routes Restored, Sept. 9, 2023

The following is adapted from a message sent by HCPSS Superintendent Dr. Michael Martirano to HCPSS staff, students and families on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023:
Five of our eight suspended bus routes will be restored next week. The following suspended bus routes will be restored for Monday, Sept. 11:

Additionally, the following routes will be restored beginning Tuesday, Sept. 12:

The following bus changes will occur beginning Monday, Sept. 11 only for the schools listed:
- Atholton ES bus 1201 will now be bus 1144
- Waterloo ES bus 1144 will now be bus 1201
These two buses were swapped for these schools to create better efficiency throughout the entirety of their routes and more easily stay on schedule.
We are continuing to restore the final three routes (buses 1070, 1144, & 1165) and I will inform families as soon as we receive confirmation that they are restored. Additionally, we are working on a few adjustments for special education route pick up times to improve efficiency and enhance on time arrivals.
