Patapsco Middle School Establishes New Mentorship Program

Patapsco Middle School has partnered with The D.R.II.P (Deconstructing habits, Reconstructing life, Investing In Play) Youth Program to offer a life skills mentorship program for students. The partnership was formalized with a partnership signing on Wednesday, June 7 at Patapsco Middle School, Ellicott City, Maryland.

Under the terms of the partnership, D.R.II.P will conduct a mentorship program that assists students with relationship-building, empowerment, managing emotions and career readiness. D.R.II.P representatives will also participate in school activities such as book fairs, wellness nights and career days.

The D.R.II.P youth program offers workshops, mentoring programs and camps for youth focused on developing social and emotional skills through empowerment, self-reflection and interactive play.

The HCPSS Partnerships Office has united schools with more than 1,000 businesses and community organizations to enhance the educational experience of Howard County students. Partnerships benefit schools, businesses and the entire community by leveraging the resources of all participants. Partners may commit human or financial resources or other support.
