HCPSS’ High School Gifted and Talented (G/T) Orchestra will perform side-by-side with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) on Friday, March 4. Led by BSO Assistant Conductor Jonathan Taylor Rush, the program will feature pieces by Dvořák, Nielsen, Brahms, Beethoven, and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.

The event is free and open to the public. Details on BSO and Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall COVID requirements can be found online.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Parking is available at the Cathedral Parking Garage for $15 per car.

Begun in 2013, the side-by-side concerts provide HCPSS students with a unique opportunity to rehearse and perform with BSO musicians.

The High School G/T Orchestra is composed of students from HCPSS’ 12 high schools, selected via a rigorous audition process. Benjamin Denne (Howard High School), Colin O’Bryan (Reservoir High School), Jay Kim (River Hill High School), and Tim McKay are among the G/T ensemble’s directors.
