HCPSS/Prepare for Success School Supply Drive, Through August 21, 2021

HCPSS and Prepare for Success are hosting their annual drive to provide school supplies to students in need. The donated supplies will help to ensure that HCPSS students head back to school with the tools they need to succeed.

Supplies may be dropped off through August 21 at Howard County libraries and Columbia Village Association offices. Needed supplies include:

• Backpacks
• Two-inch 3-ring binders
• 3-hole lined paper
• Glue sticks
• Highlighters
• #2 pencils
• One subject spiral notebooks
• Colored pencils
• Marble composition books
• Dividers
• Pocket folders
• Crayons
• Plastic pencil boxes

Tax-deductible donations also may be made online.

The cost of basic school supplies can present a financial burden to many families in the community. The Prepare for Success school supply drive helps families eliminate that cost and move one step closer to eliminating the achievement gap. PFS was launched in 2002 and grew into a countywide partnership to serve as many Howard County students in need as possible.
