Burleigh Manor Middle School Students Excel at the National Science Bowl

Burleigh Manor Middle School students won the Maryland State Science Bowl competition in early March and recently placed sixth in the National Science Bowl. The team included 8th graders Anurag Sodhi (captain), Ryan Zou and Atul Kashyap; and 7th graders Maxwell Swann and Oyujin Damdinsuren. They won $1,500 for the Burleigh Manor Science Department.

Due to COVID-19, this year’s National Science Bowl was held virtually on June 8, 2020. The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science manages the National Science Bowl and sponsors its finals competition.
