Adjustments to Distance Learning Schedule for the Week of May 25, 2020

Howard County Public School System schools and offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2020, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. The following adjustments have been made to the distance learning schedules for the week to accommodate this school closure day.

High School:

• The Period 4A Google Meet class check-in that is regularly scheduled for Monday afternoons will move to Friday, May 29 from 8:00-8:45 a.m. or 9:00-9:45 a.m. Teachers will communicate with students which of the given times will be used for the class check-in.
• All class assignments will be posted by 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26. Assignments will not be due until Monday, June 1 at 9:00 a.m.

Middle School:

• The Period 4/4B Google Meet class check-in that is regularly scheduled for Monday afternoons will move to Friday, May 29 from 8:00-8:45 a.m. or 9:00-9:45 a.m. Teachers will communicate with students which of the given times will be used for the class check-in.
• All class assignments will be posted by 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26. Assignments will not be due until Monday, June 1 at 9:00 a.m.

Elementary School:

• All teachers will publish required weekly assignments by 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26.
• Students will be expected to engage in Dreambox and Lexia Core for only four days this week.

The regular distance learning weekly schedule will resume Monday, June 1, 2020.
