Manor Woods Teacher Named a State Finalist for Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching

Manor Woods Elementary School 4th Grade Instructional Team Leader Linda Wilson is a 2018 Maryland Science Finalist for the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) at the K-Grade 6 level.

PAEMST is the highest honor bestowed by the United States government for K-12 mathematics and science teaching. The award recognizes teachers who develop and implement a high-quality instructional program that is informed by content knowledge and enhances student learning.

Wilson was recognized at the August 23 Board of Education meeting, where she was described as “a quiet force that works hard for our children.”
