HCPSS Celebrates 2018 Korean Cultural Exchange Program

August 1st, 2018

HCPSS Deputy Superintendent Karalee Turner-Little, Board of Education member Sandra French, and HCPSS leaders and representatives joined representatives from South Korea’s Iksan school district to celebrate the 11th annual Korean summer cultural exchange program during a closing ceremony held July 27, 2018 at Ellicott Mills Middle School.

The ceremony, which included performances by the visiting Korean students, culminated the three-week program hosting 20 middle school students and two teachers from Iksan, the HCPSS partner school district in South Korea. The students attended English language classes each morning with HCPSS ESOL teachers, and took part in local cultural and educational excursions during the afternoons.
