HCPSS Thanks Partners During National Volunteer Week

April 16th, 2018

Howard County is known for working together to ensure our community is a great place to live, learn, and work. This remarkable community commitment provides the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) with support from more than 1000 businesses, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies. As HCPSS celebrates National Volunteer Week, we applaud our partners for the assistance they provide every day to support our students and staff.

Partners benefit students from kindergarten through high school by expanding learning beyond the classroom. They provide resources for students struggling with meeting basic needs, opportunities for students to work in specific career fields through high school internships, and engaging programs that nurture the well-being of students and staff.

Through partnerships, students increase their participation in hands-on STEM programs, prepare for industry certifications, and discover artistic talents. These relationships expose students to unique opportunities to learn and develop new interests and skills.

HCPSS thanks our partners for their dedication to making education in Howard County a community priority. Our schools are stronger because of the participation, support, and resources of partners. HCPSS celebrates their service to students and staff, and thanks them for lending their time, resources, and expertise to enhance the lives of students.
