HCPSS Department of Special Education and Howard County Autism Society to Host Community Meeting, March 22, 2018

The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) Department of Special Education will hold a community meeting with the Howard County Autism Society on Thursday, March 22, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the NonProfit Collaborative of Howard County, 9770 Patuxent Woods Drive in Columbia.

HCPSS Acting Executive Director of Special Education, Dr. Terrell Savage, and members of her staff will share school system efforts to support students requiring special education services, as outlined in the HCPSS Special Education Strategic Plan. Patricia Gunshore, HCPSS Special Education Parent Liaison, will be on hand to describe her role and answer questions from the community.

Following this presentation, community members will have an opportunity to engage in dialog with Dr. Savage and her staff in breakout groups.

The event is open to all Howard County families of students with IEP or 504 plans.
