Race Pace Bicycles Partnership Promotes Safe Cycling

May 2nd, 2017

Race Pace Bicycles is partnering with Northfield Elementary School to promote bicycle safety and healthy lifestyles. The partnership will be formalized with an official partnership signing on Wednesday, May 3 at Race Pace Bicycles in Ellicott City, Maryland.

Under the terms of the agreement, Race Pace representatives will participate in Northfield Elementary School’s Bike & Walk to School Weeks by conducting helmet fit checks, providing bicycle maintenance, and promoting bike safety tips for students and staff. Race Pace will provide incentives for students to encourage the improvement of reading skills and good work habits. Race Pace also will promote bike safety at various school events throughout the year including the Fall Festival, Family Nights, and Wellness Days. In line with Vision 2018, this partnership supports the development of balanced lifestyles and promotes physical activity as a part of every child’s daily routine.

Northfield Elementary School Principal Tiffany Tresler and Assistant Principal Colleen Golden will join Race Pace Owner Alex Obriecht and Store Manager Jon Posner to sign the formal partnership agreement at the May 3 event.

Locally owned and operated with seven locations throughout Maryland, Race Pace Bicycles has been serving cyclists since 1978. Race Pace Bicycles specializes in new and used sales, all types of service and repair, and bicycle fit.
