Christine O’Connor Resigns from Howard County Board of Education

Effective immediately, Christine O’Connor has resigned from the Howard County Board of Education. Ms. O’Connor served on the Board since 2014, including in the chairman position.

Per protocol, following Ms. O’Connor’s resignation, the Board of Education will contact Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman, who will appoint a new member. That person will be approved by the Howard County Council and will serve out Ms. O’Connor’s term, which ends in 2018.

In her resignation letter, Ms. O’Connor stated “I have done my best for the children of Howard County. I feel that it is now an appropriate time for me to conclude my work on behalf of our families, students and community.”
