HCPSS to Host College and Career Readiness Regional Meetings, Jan. 9, 11, 24

The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) will host three College and Career Readiness Regional Meetings for parents to provide an overview of the trajectory toward graduation and strategies to support children at home.

Participants will learn how parents and the school system can work together to ensure that students graduate ready for success. In breakout sessions, HCPSS personnel will discuss course trajectories, shifts in classroom instruction, and what parents/guardians can do at home to support their children. Breakout sessions include mathematics, language arts/social studies, science, and career planning and high school Career Academies.

All sessions are from 7–9 p.m. at the following locations:

• January 9, 2017, Long Reach High School
• January 11, 2017, Glenelg High School
• January 24, 2017, Wilde Lake High School
