HCPSS Seeks Citizen Members for Policy Development/Revision Committees

April 15th, 2016

HCPSS invites citizens to take an active role in developing and revising school system policies as members of policy development/revision committees. The knowledge, experience and perspective shared by community stakeholders improve the policy review process and ensure transparency at every stage of the committee’s work.

Each committee typically meets 4–5 times to discuss and make policy recommendations regarding educational programs and school system operations.

For the 2016–2017 school year, HCPSS is currently seeking candidates for membership on the following policy development/revision committees. Each committee will include one member representing the General Citizens stakeholder group. All HCPSS policies can be viewed online at http://www.hcpss.org/board/policies.

*One committee will review both Policy 1050 and Policy 9240

Interested citizens may submit a statement of interest online at http://hcpssne.ws/policyDevCitizenForm, complete and email this form to policy@hcpss.org, or mail a printed copy to Policy/Charter Schools Office, 10910 Clarksville Pike Ellicott City, Maryland 21042.
