High School Taste Tests Result in New Menu Items

HCPSS soon will offer two new lunch entrée items on the high school menu: potato skins with chili and cheese, and potato skins with buffalo chicken. The items will be available beginning December 4 and 15, respectively. The two new items were selected after HCPSS Food and Nutrition Services held taste testings at several high schools, and for PTA presidents.

All schools now offer weekly hot breakfast options that are high in protein, low in carbohydrates and meet federal nutritional standards for meals served to students. December’s hot breakfast lineup includes:
- Thursday, Dec. 3 – Egg and cheese sandwich
- Tuesday, Dec. 8 – Egg and turkey sausage boat
- Friday, Dec. 18 – Egg and turkey sausage sliders
- Tuesday, Dec. 22 – Egg and turkey sausage boat
