Two New Partnerships Support HCPSS Running Programs

The Howard County Public School System has partnered with Feet First Sports and M-F Athletic, Everything Track & Field to provide resources and support for high school running programs. The partnerships was formalized with an official partnership signing Friday, June 12.
Both organizations will provide funding to support the running programs at all 12 high schools, with Feet First sponsoring purchase of an electronic timing system and M-F Athletic sponsoring meet management supplies. In addition, both Feet First Sports and M-F Athletic will collaborate with HCPSS on future track and field initiatives. In line with Vision 2018, these partnerships promote physical activity and provide opportunities for students to build competencies in athletics.
Howard County Board of Education Vice Chairman Ann De Lacy, HCPSS Coordinator Athletics John Davis, Commissioner of Track & Field Matthew Clever and Wilde Lake High School Principal James LeMon joined Feet First Sports Owner Reese Razzaque and M-F Athletic Sales Representative Jennie Rohde to sign the formal partnership agreements at the June 12 event.
Feet First Sports has served the local running community with quality running shoes, apparel, and gear since 1979. Feet First caters to the interests of the competitive and recreational athlete through a wide range of products including shoes, socks, orthotics and brand apparel.
M-F Athletic, Everything Track & Field, established in 1960, maintains a large inventory of all major Track & Field equipment brands.
The Howard County Public School System’s Partnerships Office unites businesses and community organizations with schools to enhance the educational experience.
