HCPSS Recognizes Partners and Volunteers During National Volunteer Day

April 14th, 2015

During National Volunteer Week, April 12–18, Howard County Public School System Superintendent Dr. Renee Foose and the Howard County Board of Education take time to express deep appreciation to its partners and volunteers for their contribution to making HCPSS among the best in the nation.

The Howard County Public School System recognizes that community partners and volunteers are vital components of a world-class educational experience and provide valuable assistance to professional educators in fulfillment of the school system’s mission.

More than 1,000 businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and community organizations partner with HCPSS schools, curricular offices, and business departments to support the strategic goals in the system’s strategic plan, Vision 2018: Fulfilling the Promise of Preparation. Partnerships with local businesses and organizations are a vital link between the community and its public schools.

The Howard County Public School System’s Partnerships Office unites businesses and community organizations with schools to enhance the educational experience. Partnerships benefit schools, businesses, and the community by leveraging the resources of all participants.
