HCPSS Recognized for Employee Engagement, Wellness Programs
October 6th, 2014
HCPSS was last month named among five corporate winners of the inaugural Virgin Pulse Life Changers Awards. The award recognizes companies which prioritize engagement, health and well-being for employees.
Finalists for the award were selected by a panel of judges which measured the effectiveness of employee well-being and engagement strategies developed through the Virgin Pulse corporate wellness program.
Employee engagement and well-being are central elements of the HCPSS Vision 2018 strategic plan. In 2012, HCPSS launched its ‘Commit To Be Fit’ program, a prevention-based wellness program that encourages healthy habits through a combination of rewards and positive reinforcement. More than 80 percent of system employees participate in the program, tracking physical activity and taking part in on-site fitness classes and health-related workshops.
