Five Howard County high schools ranked on Newsweek Top Schools list

Five Howard County public schools are among the Newsweek list of America’s Top High Schools for 2014. The list ranks 500 schools deemed to do the best job of preparing students for college, based on factors including enrollment and graduation rates; weighted AP, SAT, and ACT scores; student attrition from 9th through 12th grade; and counselor-to-student ratios.
The HCPSS schools included on the list and their respective rankings are:
Centennial: 18
Marriotts Ridge: 258
River Hill: 266
Atholton: 407
Mt. Hebron: 490
